Solsan

A solar-powered, touchless hand sanitiser station for use in high- contact public spaces.

Product

Accesible Hygiene

Integral solar panels power smart internal electronics that can measure dispenser levels and communicate wirelessly to alert maintenance when filling is required. Ensuring access to improved hygiene is never on pause.

Partnership

Environmentally Conscious

We worked together with the West Australian Government and local artists to create a product which is accessible, functional and an environmentally conscious whilst addressing both user and maintenance needs.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of robust public hygiene practices to prevent the spread of dangerous viruses. Solsan will facilitate these practices in Western Australia, helping to keep the community safe during COVID-19 and beyond.

Partnership

Usable By All

Our team worked hard with the client to ensure that the device, designed for  the general public, truly was usable by all. The size, shape and positioning of the interface was designed to ensure users of all heights and abilities, including wheelchair users, would be able to make use of the dispenser.

Impact

Safety Made Smart

IR Sensors detect hand movement to allow the Solsan to dispense up to 37,500 shots of sanitiser before sensing a refill is required or the internal waste tank requires emptying. Combined with anti-vandal sensors and UV, weather and flame-resistant outer materials, we tried to make hygiene safety smart.
